Linking Policy with Service Delivery in Rural & Regional Communities
This conference unites multiple perspectives on the development of appropriate and sustainable policy for effective service delivery in rural and regional communities. It focuses on the federal government’s Regional Development Australia (RDA) initiative and its role in securing the future of regional centres. The sessions draw upon the experiences and insights of people working in federal and state departments and community-based programs, as well as expert projections of what the future may hold for these regions. The development of policy which serves the needs of these diverse communities is essential, if rural and regional centres are to flourish and prosper as Australia’s population expands.
